League Purpose

CWL Purpose:
- For professional players currently under contract to sharpen their skills and be a step ahead of other players not competing during the off-season.
- To provide future professional baseball players a winter instructional league to be able to showcase their skills and compete for pro jobs during minor league and independent organizations spring training. To assess and select players for the 2011 California Winter League Championship season and to provide players to other independent leagues and major league organizations for the 2011 season.
- To keep professional baseball alive for fans in the Southern California area to enjoy during the beautiful winter weather.
- 24-man Rosters: First 96 players to register are guaranteed a roster spot.
