Tonight’s PECOS League All-Start Game will have a distinctly CWL flavor. Managing the Mountaineers, an assemblage of the best players from the Roswell, Ruidoso, and Alpine teams, will be CWL Instructor Chris Paterson. Eight CWL alum are on the all-star rosters for this evening’s game: C Rob Herrmann, C Adrian Martinez,  1B Harry Williams Jr, 2B Chris De Biasi, 2B Brian Ramirez, 3B Kevin Hoeff, OF Trivon Howard, and RHP Mike Jackson.

Paterson has played internationally in places such as France and Australia, and served as a CWL coach in each of the past two seasons.

Herrmann, a Fredonia State alum from Trumansburg, NY, hit .359 in 19 games for the Palm Desert Coyotes this past season.

Martinez attended Missouri Baptist University, and racked up 10 RBIs for the Coachella Valley Snowbirds during the CWL season.

Williams Jr, a graduate of Coppin State, tallied 9 RBIs in 20 games for the Canada A’s.

De Biasi, who hails from Concord, CA, spent the  2010 season in the CWL, along with Ramirez, who is from Redlands, CA.

Hoeff,  a product of the University of Iowa, placed 9th in the CWL in average last season with a .368 average.

Out of Claffin, SC, Howard hit .333 for the Palm Desert Coyote during the winter.

Jackson, a right-handed Texan, posted a 4.00 ERA in 27 innings for the Palm Springs Chill last year.
