Power Win the CWL Championship

The Power rallied for five runs in the bottom of the seventh to clinch the California Winter League Championship with a 7-5 win over the Chill at Palm Springs Stadium on Friday afternoon.
Down 5-2 in the bottom of the seventh, the Power sent nine batters to the plate with Adrian Martinez driving in the tying run with a sacrifice fly to center. Trevor Whyte followed with a double in the left center gap to knock in the decisive runs.
Tim Combs threw the last three innings to earn the win, holding the Chill to one hit and striking out five. The victory was the Power’s 16th in 19 games.
Chris Caves led the Chill offense, going three for four with a homerun, two doubles and two RBI.
