The Rockford Aviators have sold right handed relief pitcher Michael Schaub to the New York Yankees. Schaub joins previous teammate, Teo Martinez, as the second player sold to New York Yankees and third overall player sold to a Major League Baseball team this season.

Schaub joined the Aviators in 2014. During that season Schaub posted a 1-6 record with a 4.62 ERA. He recorded 58 strikeouts to just 20 walks over 46.2 innings pitched. This season with Rockford he has appeared in 18 games and owns a 1-0 record with a 0.50 ERA, 17 strikeouts, 2 walks, and is tied for first with 12 saves in the Frontier League.

Schaub got an opportunity to play for the Rockford Aviators by being a part of the 2014 CWL season. We would like to wish Schaub the best of luck with the New York Yankees organization.
