CWL CONGRATULATES FORMER PLAYERS AND COACHES IN 2017 AA PLAYOFFS

PALM SPRINGS, Calif. – As the 2017 regular season comes to a close across independent leagues all over the nation, the playoffs are just getting underway in the American Association. The CWL staff would like to congratulate the following former players and coaches on great regular seasons and good luck in the playoffs!

Winnipeg Goldeyes – Tanner DeVinny, Tom Vaeth (hitting coach; 2017 CWL manager)

Wichita Wingnuts – Matt Chavez

Lincoln Saltdogs – Bobby Brown (manager; 2017 CWL instructor), Tom Carcione (hitting coach; 2017 CWL instructor)

Bobby Brown and Tom Carcione were instructors in the CWL last season and led the Lincoln Saltdogs to a post-season berth in the American Association this year. Tom Vaeth managed in the CWL last season and is the hitting coach of the Winnipeg Goldeyes, where his squad hit .296 with 100 home runs as a team this year. We congratulate everyone on their success and wish everyone the best of luck in the playoffs!
