Seven-time Cy Young winner Roger Clemens attended Palm Springs Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.

Clemens met with all eight teams sharing stories, giving advice, and even joining the broadcast booth during his son Koby’s game.

As for the play on the field, it was nothing short of exceptional as usual.

The British Columbia Bombers (1-3) defeated the Palm Desert Coyotes (3-2) 3-2 behind a two-RBI single by Manuel Estrada, scoring Colby Andrews and Adam Jones. Ricky Alvernaz also ripped a RBI.

Wade Myatt picked up the win en route to tossing five strong innings with six strikeouts.

Offensive fireworks highlighted the second game of the doubleheader as the Coachella Valley Snowbirds (5-0) remained unbeaten with a 14-8 victory over the Palm Springs Chill (2-2).

The lead changed hands six times until the Snowbirds finally took the upper hand with a seven-run sixth inning.

Robert Dimperio was electric, going 3-for-3 with three runs scored. Zach Brosten also went 3-for-3 and added a RBI.

Finally, the Palm Springs Power (2-2) silenced the Canada A’s (0-4) 2-0 with a combined one-hitter by Clayton Vanderlaan, Tyler Anzmann and Billy Pullia.

Anthony Amedei belted a RBI-double, while Adrian Ibarra and Jaren Brown each scored once.
