Palm Springs Power @ Coachella Valley Snowbirds
In the first game of the day on auxiliary field #1, The Coachella Valley Snowbirds took an early 2-0 lead in the first inning behind a Chris Cruz RBI double. The Power put up 4 runs in the 3rd to take a 5-2 lead with an RBI double by Robert Fuhr. The pitching combination of Devon Ramirez and Kyle Pisano in relief kept the Birds off the scoreboard and guided the Power to a 6-2 victory.
Oregon Lumberjacks @ Midwest Haymakers
In the early game at auxiliary field #2, the Lumberjacks got an early lead off a solo home run from Scott Fabre, but the Haymakers were able to tie it back up at 1 in the 4th inning when Joe Fiorino sprinted home on a wild pitch. Fast forward to the 7th where Tillman Pugh hit a fly ball to left that scored Julio Spann that turned out to be the go ahead run as the Jacks defeated the Haymakers 2-1.
Toronto Rush @ Palm Springs Chill
The first game in the stadium featured a low scoring affair that was scoreless until the 4th when the Rush broke through for 2 runs including an RBI double by Derek Ward. Rush starter Evan Wolf held the Chill scoreless through 5 innings of work but the bats came to life in the bottom of the 6th when Darryl Stanfield hit a 2-RBI single to tie the game at 2 off of Jeremy Holcombe. The Rush squeezed one more run around the bases in the 7th when James Simms scored the go ahead run on a wild pitch to lead Toronto to the 3-2 victory.
BC Bombers @ Washington Blue Sox
In the final game of the day in the Stadium, Bombers took the lead 1-0 when Ryan Powers scored Bryce Taylor from 3rd in the 2nd inning. The Blue Sox came back and tied it at 1 with RBI from Reggie Lawson in the 3rd. The Bombers regained the lead in the 5th with an RBI from Kenta Nishi, but the Blue Sox were able to tack on a Sac fly RBI by CJ Henry to even the game in the bottom of the 7th. The game ended in a 2-2 tie.
