The Trois Rivieres Aigles have signed RHP Damon Ellis following the 2021 California Winter League. The signing was made official on June 6th. Ellis had a few appearances in the United Shore Professional Baseball League toward the end of the 2020 season. The Detroit native set his sights on the Frontier League or MLB affiliated baseball for 2021. Ellis’ fastball impressed scouts and managers in the USPBL and at the CWL, sitting in the mid 90’s in the USPBL and routinely touching 92 in the winter. Ellis compliments his fastball with a sharp curveball that he used to keep hitters off balance in Palm Springs.

With issues at the Canadian border, the Aigles and the Quebec Capitales will form one team that will play in the United States for the duration of the Frontier League season. Ellis will report to spring training and fight for a roster spot on this hybrid team for the 2021 season.
