PALM SPRINGS, Calif –

The California Winter League action continued on day two of the season. Game 1 at Palm Springs Stadium was the Manitoba North Stars facing the British Columbia Bombers. Game 2 featured the Washington Blue Sox and the Canada A’s.

In game 1, Taylor Lomack recorded an RBI single in the 2nd inning and he also scored a run in the 7th. The North Stars picked up 2 runs in the 2nd and a run in the 7th. British Columbia was shut out. Manitoba North Stars defeated the British Columbia Bombers 3-0.

In game 2, both the Blue Sox and the A’s scored two runs a piece in the 2nd inning. The game was tied 2-2 until the 5th inning when Jacob Roybal delivered an RBI double to give the Blue Sox the lead. The Sox scored one run in the 6th and three runs in the 7th. Javier Lopez pitched a complete game for Washington giving up 3 ER. The Blue sox beat the A’s 7-3 in game 2 at Palm Springs Stadium.

The California Winter League continues tomorrow with three games. The Washington Blue Sox face the Alberta Grizzly on the turf field at 9:00 a.m. The Oregon Lumberjacks take on the Toronto Rush at Palm Springs Stadium at 10:00 a.m. The Canada A’s will play Palm Springs Power at 12:30 p.m. at Palm Springs Stadium.
